  1. Tampa International Airport is quite smoker friendly. You cannot smoke anywhere in the terminal, but each Concourse has outside smoking areas WITH LIGHTERS BUILT-IN to the fenced enclosure; they work just like lighters in cars!

    Very helpful as you can’t take a lighter on the airplane so you don’t even have to worry about scrounging up a book of matches.

    Just watch the weather; there are no roofs over the very conveniently-located smoking areas. If there was even a cloth stretched over the top of the areas, it would be considered “inside” and therefore no smoking.

    Visit us in Tampa at TIA, it really takes the edge off a four-hour plane flight!
