  1. Actually, bars are allowed to have smoking. Its only restaurant dining areas where it is prohibited. Restaurant bars are allowed to have smoking too, but not sure if this rule requires restaurant bars to be enclosed from the dining area or not.

    Only Eugene, Corvallis, and Philomath have complete bans in place, btw.

  2. The Shilo Inn in Eugene confirms smoking rooms and when you arrive you are told there are none. Smokers standing around outside at all hours.

  3. Is there a new oregon law that prohibits smoking within 25 feet of enterance or is this a local law that has to be passed?

  4. I was informed the state of Oregon has just passed an anti smoking law that bans smoking in all public places to includ bars. Is this correct? I was informed that this law goes into affect in 8 months.

  5. Oregon did unfortunately pass a statewide ban that includes bars, starting in January 2009, so the July 2007 poster was correct.
