Although L.A.-based label Doré scored its first hit in 1958 with 'To Know Him Is to Love Him' by The Teddy Bears (written by Phil Spector, who also was a member of the group) and is best known for the releases of Jan & Dean, the company also issued a fair amount of delightful soul 45s. Some of the best songs from those 7-inches are collected on this superb vinyl compilation!
